🔥 Kindling — Chapter 10: If God Meant It for My Good, I’m Good
If you’re thinking this is about things working out perfectly, pause.
This is about what still works… when they don’t.
Start with the first question:
What “conditions” do you tend to require before you believe something is good?
Think honestly.
Things need to go right.
People need to act right.
Timing needs to be right.
Now ask:
What do I quietly expect before I accept something as “good”?
Comfort?
Clarity?
Control?
Now sit with that.
Picture a message being delivered.
Not polished.
Not perfect.
Not how you would have chosen it.
Then ask:
Have I ever missed something good… because it didn’t arrive the way I wanted?
Move to the next question:
Can you recall a time when something good came through something imperfect?
Think of a real moment.
A difficult situation.
An unexpected detour.
A person you didn’t expect.
What came through anyway?
Growth?
Clarity?
Direction?
The package wasn’t perfect—
but something still arrived.
Now consider:
How might this change the way you see disruptions or disappointments?
When something doesn’t go as planned, ask:
Is this blocked… or just coming through a different way?
You may not control the delivery—
but that doesn’t mean there’s no purpose in it.
The question is not:
“Is this perfect?”
The question is:
Am I open enough to receive what’s coming through?
If it was meant for your good,
it doesn’t have to arrive clean to arrive true.
